Connectivity
and Mobility:
By integrating BNet-Waveform, BNet SDR equipment offers transverse communications,
high data rate transmission on the move and mobility management that greatly
improve the connection between the users from HQ to small action units.
Versatility:
With a scalable capacity of multi simultaneous channels and embedded routing
capability, BNet acts as a communication node. Each channel can be configured
and programmed independently according to a majority of missions dedicated
to mobile battlefield platforms.
Flexibility:
Based on an open architecture, compliant with Software Communication Architecture
(SCA 2.2) international standard and a powerful programmable hardware
platform, BNet ensures enhanced functionality, expandability and waveform
portability accommodating future technology or requirements upgrades with
ease. This flexibility is improved due to the modular hardware architecture
of BNet.

BNet as a Dual
Mode Radio for Ground and Air applications:
BNET is a Software Defined Radio with the capability to operate simultaneously
in Dual Bands e.g., the UHF for Ground applications using the OFDM type
of modulation and the L band using the QPSK modulation for Air applications.
The BNet Networking Aspects:
The BNet Waveform is an innovative MANET (Mobile Ad-hoc Network) waveform
for SDR that leverages the unique BNet multi-packet and multi-channel
reception technology to create a truly scalable and self-forming MANET.
The BNet waveform includes the following key functionalities:
Innovative spectrum and slot management: Given a set of frequency channels
and QoS (Quality Of Service) requirements information, BNet efficiently
allocates only the needed frequency channels and time slots to meet the
required QoS for TCP/IP and UDP/IP applications according to the current
traffic load.
Unicast, Multicast and Broadcast Routing based on the OLSR (Optimized
Link-State Routing) algorithm.
Advanced QoS support: BNet provides a broad range of QoS levels supporting
the versatile needs of different applications. These QoS levels differ
in their delay, jitter, throughput, reliability and priority.
IP service applications suite provides a seamless interoperability with
any standard IP infrastructure. The suit includes SIP, dynamic DNS, DHCP
and address auto configuration. These applications are optimized to work
over a MANET while keeping a standard interface to the hosts.
Connectivity with other networks/ BNet as an IP radio:
BNet is designed to support full interoperability with standard IP equipment.
The interoperability enables simple integration of multiple networks,
allows benefiting from technological advances in general IP market and
does not introduce excess complications at the network maintenance level.
BNet's implementation of the above (requirements) includes an embedded
IP router supporting interoperability with other standard IP routers.
