Attacks of North Korea on the South Korean island of Yeonpyeong.
 
 
This morning at 7:15 AM, Paris time, the North Korea fired approximately 200 artillery shells on South Korean island of Yeonpyeong. South Korea retorted immediately, and indicated that it could answer these attacks in the event of new threats.

According to the latest information’s, two South Korean soldiers were killed, and four others seriously wounded. South Korea reacted to this attack by also using its artillery.

The South Korean army is now in maximum alert, the government has called an emergency meeting. The South Korean army asked the North Korea to stop any attack, in order to avoid an immediate response.
The international reactions were immediate, with China which immediately required that the two countries start again the discussions of peace. Japanese the Prime Minister Naoto kan, asked his government to prepare with any possibility. The White House firmly condemned the North-Korean bombardment.
