United Kingdom and Israel prepare plans for attacks against Iranian nuclear sites.
British military planners have begun assessing the best places to deploy Royal Navy ships and submarines, as they step up a contingency plan for a potential attack against Iran. At the same time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to rally support in his cabinet for an attack on Iran, according to government sources.

The Israeli defence minister Ehud Barak and the foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman are said to be among those backing a pre-emptive strike to neutralise Iran's nuclear ambitions. Western intelligence officials estimate that Iran is still at least two to three years away from obtaining a nuclear bomb.

Also Israel tested a long-range ballistic missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead on Tuesday.

The British Ministry of Defence says the United States may decide to accelerate plans for strikes against key Iranian facilities, and they will receive UK military help for any mission.

Sources in Whitehall said that Iran had proved surprisingly resilient in the face of sanctions and sophisticated attempts to stifle it’s nuclear program.

It is believed that the all of the nuclear enrichment capability of Iran that was lost in a sophisticated Cyber attack last year has been restored, and may even be increasing.
