Russian Eastern Military District receives first batch of new generation fuel trucks

Russian Eastern Military District logistics support large units have received the first batch of advanced ATZ-12-10-63501 and ATs-7-5350 fuel short-term storage vehicles, the Defense Ministry’s press office said.

"The ATZ-12-10-63501 automatic fueling system is mounted on the versatile 8x8 chassis of the Kamaz-63501 Mustang truck. It can cross 1.75 m-deep fords and 0.6 m-high obstacles. The vehicle is automated and reliable," the press office said.

The vehicle’s feature is the special polymer self-healing coating of its fuel tank, which prevents fuel leakage in case of damage caused by 7.62mm bullets. The system makes it possible to fuel up to 10 vehicles at a time, which halves the refueling time.
