Jelec told his Chinese guests that he believed that the visit would play a historically important role in development of the relations between the two countries and the two militaries as well as bilateral exchanges and cooperation in the future. Bosnia and Herzegovina will always be a sincere friend of the Chinese people and the Chinese military, Jelec said.

Wang Guanzhong said that there is no fundamental conflict of interests but only friendship and cooperation between China and Bosnia and Herzegovina. China respects Bosnia and Herzegovina’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and also respects the development road independently chosen by the Bosnia and Herzegovina people according to the reality. No matter how the international and domestic situations fluctuate, the two sides will respect and trust each other, so as to constantly push forward the relations between the two countries and the two militaries to a new high.

On that day, Wang Guanzhong held a working meeting with Ms Marina Pendes, deputy minister of defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They had an in-depth exchange of views on further maintaining and developing friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two militaries in the new historical period as well as other issues of common concern.

Dong Chunfeng, Chinese ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ci Guowei, deputy director-general of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Ministry of National Defense of the People’s Republic of China, attended the above activities.
