My name is Kutay Pınarcı, I'm the strategy director of Baykar Technologies
0:23
As Baykar, here we are Thailand's Defence and Security Summit, we are proud to be interacting
0:29
with local companies and all the defence authorities. So Baykar was founded in 1984 and since 2000 we have been investing heavily in the R&D
0:41
of UAVs. So in product portfolio we have three main products, mini UAV, tactical level, Male
0:48
class TB2 and in 2020 we are going to be in the air with our new Hale class AKINCI
0:57
In TB2, currently we have more than 100 UAVs in the skies from different countries and
1:06
it's a combat proven tactical level UAV, over 150,000 hours in the skies and it can be armed
1:18
or unarmed and it has fascinating features that it's been accepted by many authorities
1:27
as best in its class. As Baykar we have a very strong footprint in Eurasia geography, however we are here
1:35
today to make our footprint as well as in Southeast Asia and have the expectations of
1:44
the local authorities and explain our product portfolio and capabilities. This is Serdar Demir, I'm the Vice President of Turkish Aerospace Marketing and Communications
1:55
So we are in Thailand, we come here with our combat proven products
1:58
Turkish Aerospace is one of the global leading companies. We have a great portfolio, unmanned air systems, helicopters, training aircrafts, also space systems
2:11
We have combat proven products like ATAK and our UAV systems. So in Asia we like to expand our network
2:19
ATAK is our most famous major and combat proven product. So far over 50 in operation, we produced 50 of them, those are in operation
2:31
Also some other Asian countries, we are in negotiations so we'll see our ATAK helicopter
2:38
in Asia. This is our first national helicopter. This is a multi-role helicopter actually
2:44
We can use it as an ambulance, firefighting, cargo and other sections
2:51
We are under the certification process right now. We have four prototypes so far
2:55
End of this year we are planning to finalize the certification. Then we're going to start the mass production
3:02
Then we're going to see our helicopters under the Asian skies for the civil use
3:07
Another major and important product by Turkish Aerospace is ANKA. ANKA is another UAV system
3:14
It's a male class UAV system, medium altitude, long endurance. It's a 30,000 feet altitude, 24 hour endurance and 250 kilo payload, over 20 in operation
3:26
We do great works, great jobs with ANKA. My name is Özgür Güleryus
3:31
I am the Deputy General Manager of STM, which is Defense Technologies and Engineering Company
3:37
in Turkey. STM was founded in 1991 and it mainly belongs to Turkish Defense Industries Presidency
3:47
And we have been working on quite many fields since that time
3:50
And we are focusing on naval platforms, cyber security and also autonomous systems is our
3:57
basic focus areas nowadays. I should mention that STM is mainly an engineering company
4:03
So in all the products that you see here, we are designing them by ourselves
4:08
We have quite high amounts of skilled engineers working on naval platform design capabilities
4:15
So we can start the design of the ship from scratch and according to the customer's need
4:21
we can make completed design and then integrate any kind of weapon systems or other systems
4:27
into the naval platforms. And then we can build them in anywhere on earth
4:32
Actually, it's one of the main capabilities of STM. We don't have a shipyard of ourselves, but we can use the customers even shipyards to
4:40
build the ships. We are here in Thailand. We can communicate with customers, understand their needs and then offer quite applicable
4:48
solutions to their requirements. There are quite many countries in this region that we are working on some programs and we
4:56
have planning to work on some future programs also. So that's also the reason that we are here to communicate with the current potential
5:05
customers also. Actually, when we think of the region and the countries here, when we think about their
5:12
requirements and their needs, the fast attack craft that you see here is the most suitable
5:17
ship that's needed for this region. It's designed by STM completely and now we have completed its full test and so on
5:27
As I said, we are an engineering company, so according to the needs of the customer
5:31
the engine versions of this ship can change, the speed of this ship can change, and the
5:36
systems that it has on top of it can change and we can modify them quite easily
5:41
My name is Emre Akin. I am the Strategic Planning and Market Development Director for the Nur-Ol Makina
5:47
As you know, Nur-Ol Makina is in tactical with 4x4 armored vehicle business
5:52
We are one of the suppliers not only for the Turkish Army but for our friendly allied
5:56
countries in Middle East, Africa, Europe, Far East, Central Asia. We are here in Thailand because it's a big market Far East for us
6:07
We are not aiming to serve Thailand but also regional countries and we would like to share
6:13
our experiences that we gained from Turkish Army, Turkish Special Forces teams with our vehicles
6:21
We are here also to share our technology production base as well and we have lots of good companies
6:29
that we are in touch here. We are about to sign a couple of contracts with some regional countries here, so hopefully
6:37
early next year we will be announcing some important contracts for us, both for our HDI
6:42
Altyn and NMS vehicles. There's a huge interest to our vehicles based on their state-of-the-art engineering developments
6:50
and combat proven status of our vehicles. So we are in Thailand exhibition because Thailand is one of our focus countries in this region
6:58
We have great interest to our products from the countries in the region
7:05
In Thailand we have good local partners working with the end-user requirements here heavily on
7:12
I don't want to name the other countries in the region but we are focusing on couple of
7:16
countries here just to indicate our involvement in Far East defense market
7:25
Currently this week we have another team participating the DSEI exhibition in Tokyo
7:32
So we have two teams in the region supporting local governments for their defense needs
7:40
My name is Burak Ayaroğlu. I am the regional manager who is responsible for Asia-Pacific region including Thailand
7:48
We have been participating this show regularly and this time again we brought many of our
7:54
equipment which we find some opportunity in Thailand. On the right hand side you will see our 30mm remote controlled weapon station which we
8:05
are following an opportunity in Thailand. This system integrates a 30mm gun and electro-optic suit and it is remotely controlled
8:15
We integrate this system on vessels and now in Thailand we are following a project for
8:24
this particular product. Apart from that we are introducing our anti-drone systems, man-packed jammers, communication
8:34
equipment, underwater torpedo countermeasure systems and some border security systems in this exhibition
8:45
Thailand is one of our focus markets and countries in the region
8:51
We would like to bring our capabilities to Thailand. We would like to establish local partnerships if necessary
9:00
My name is Mahmoud Aksit. I am the CEO and chairman of the Tusaj Engine Industries, TEI
9:06
We produce UAV engines and recently we also started working on turbo-shaft engine project
9:14
for helicopters. Actually, this is the first time we are in Thailand as a company
9:20
Our expectation is like globally there is a big increase in the interest of UAV aircraft
9:26
usage and in parallel in Southeast Asia we also see a big market growing in UAV front
9:35
There are not many engine producers, especially producing UAV engines. Our engine, what you see behind me here, is one of a kind
9:49
It is the best in class. It is geared towards male class UAVs, anywhere from one and a half ton to two ton aircrafts
9:58
if it is used as a single engine. If it is used in double configuration, it can be even giving power to higher weight UAVs
10:08
So, in this class, this engine we developed has the advantage of going as high as 40,000
10:17
feet and maintaining maximum power up to 20,000 feet, which we call critical altitude
10:27
which is almost double of the competition engines. It also gives good performance in fuel consumption, which is 11% less than the best competitor
10:38
So, we see a good potential in the UAV market in Southeast Asia that users and end-users
10:46
may prefer our engines rather than some other engines in the market
10:53
So, we are in the region to get to know the companies and get to know the final end-users
11:02
like Ministry of Defense from different countries and the Air Force Chief of Staffs and Generals, actually
11:13
So, for us, it is the first and for many of them it is the first day they get to know
11:18
our engine. Hello, this is Gülderen Bağlayar. I am the Director of Marketing and Exports of Makine ve Kimya Endüsüresi Kurumu
11:27
This company is a governmental company of Turkey working on defense industries, having
11:34
10 factories. These 10 factories work on four different groups, ammunition production, small arms
11:45
medium caliber and high caliber ammunition. And also, weapon production group, again, small arms, medium caliber and high caliber
11:56
weapon systems, rocket production and pyrotechnic production. Regarding Thailand, we are supplying 5.56 Infantry Rifle parts until now and MP5 submachine
12:14
gun parts. We introduced newly designed MPT-55 Infantry Rifle to Thailand. Until now, we are just negotiating the contract conditions of 400 units of this Infantry Rifle
12:31
and we are planning to introduce this Infantry Rifle to Thailand Army also
12:38
Besides this Infantry Rifles, we introduced the Sniper Rifles and 275-inch rocket system
12:48
to Thailand Land Forces. We are planning to extend our relationship with Thailand defense industry authorities
13:01
and the companies. While supplying the MPT-55 Infantry Rifle, we proposed the authorities our production
13:12
regarding the ammunition. The 6.56 mm cartridges are produced according to NATO standards and we have interchangeability
13:23
property that is certified by ERTC Center in London
