The demo mock-up shows that the interior of C919 nose is designed in full streamline, and the functions and colours of cockpit and cabin all reveal and advanced “human-oriented” design philosophy and the principle of “comfort”.

Some Chins elements have been ingeniously adopted in designing such details as the lock of luggage compartment, etc. The integration of aviation technologies with modern aesthetics offers a modern style and meanwhile highlights Chinese characteristics.

C919 is a medium/short-range commercial trunkliner of which China owns the independent intellectual property right. The baseline of C919 features 168 seats for all-economy class layout and 156 seats for hybrid class layout.

The designed standard range is 2,200 nm and extended range 3,000 nm, which enables it to meet airlines’ needs for operation on diversified air routes. Its designed lifespan is 90,000 flight hours or 30 calendar years. C919 trunkliner is designed and developed as per international civil aviation regulations and airworthiness standards, and will be airworthiness certified so as to ensure its safety. Fuel burn and DOC are lower than currently in-service aircraft of similar seats category, which makes it economically favorable.

Comfort is improved by means of expanding cabin space and seat width and also installing new airborne equipment. New engine is selected to meet noise and emission requirements; hence improved greenness. The C919 family will extend from baseline version to stretched, shortened, freighter, special and business versions.
