Description

The RG33 MRRMV (Mine Resistant Recovery and Maintenance Vehicle) is a variant of the RG33 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle. The RG33 MRRMV is designed and manufactured by the International Company BAE Systems. The RG33 MRRMV provides an unmatched degree of mission flexibility. The high-mobility chassis and extensive equipment options make the RG33 MRRMV the ideal blast-protected platform for the full spectrum of recovery and maintenance operations for the current and future force.The RG33 MRRMV can carried 2 crew and 2 recovered crew and keeps pace with the MRAP or Stryker Brigade Combat Teams.

Technical data

Armament

The RG33 MRRMV can be fitted with a remote controlled weapon station armed with weapons up to 12.7 mm calibre or a 40 mm calibre automatic grenade launcher. The RG33 AUV can be fitted also with a one man turret with armour windows, armed with a 7,62 mm or 12,7 mm calibre machine gun. The turret is mounted to the top of the crew compartment, at the front of the vehicle. A common weapon ring can be mounted to the rooftop for integration of a wide variety of weapon systems to include the Army's Gunner Protection Kit.

Protection

The RG33 MRRMV sets the standard for mine protected vehicles in the medium weight class. This next generation 6x6 features a state-of-the-art V-shaped hull that provides superior blast protection against symmetrical,asymmetrical and unconventional explosive hazards.The RG33 MRRMV provides a protection for the crew against Anti-Tank mine, Improvised Explosive Devices,overhead blasts and ballistic threats.

Propulsion

The RG-33 UAV uses a 6x6 chassis. The RG33L 6x6 is motorised with a Cummins 400 I6 Diesel engine coupled to an Allison 3200 transmission.

Accessories

The RG33 MRRMV is equipped with two remote cameras that allow recovery operations from under armor,spacious storage boxes for tools,spares,BII and other mission equipment. The RG33 MRRMV is equipped with a crane mounted at the rear of the chassis. The crane has a lift and tow capacity of 40 ton, and it can make a rotation of 360. A winch is mounted at the front of the chassis with a capacity of 40 tons and a rope lenght of 61 meters. In option the RG33 MRRMV can be equipped with Add-on-Armor,EOD arm,6kW Auxiliary Power Unit,120/240 AC import/export power, secondary battery suite,thermal Driver's Vision Enhancer,taillight camera, central tire inflation system,Anti-lock Braking System,Transparent Armor Gun Shield,remote weapons station.
