Radar |
The antenna of the PRV-9 Thin Skin is mounted on the roof of KraZ-214 6x6 military truck. The PRV–9 and its power supply was developed on two trailer, a transmitter/receiver cabinet with the antenna's turn table, and a cabinet with the independent electric power generator (diesel-engine). The radar can detect aerial threats at a range from 155 to 160 km and an altitude from 1 to 12 km. The PRV-9 is protected against active and passive jamming. |
Design and protection |
The PRV-9 Thin Skin is based on the chassis of the KraZ-214 with a crew cabin mounted at the front of the vehicle and a shelter at the rear with the antenna mounted on the roof. |
Mobility |
