Tactical Missiles Corporation JSC of Russia launched latest generation anti-radar missile Kh-31PD.
The consortium of Tactical Missiles Corporation (JSC) of Russia launched serial production of the latest generation of anti-radar missile Kh-31PD, announced Friday to reporters the CEO Consortium Boris Obnossov at the 9th International Exhibition of Hydroaviation GIDROAVIASALON 2012, taking place in Gelendzhik, Russia from 5 to 9 September 2012.

Fired from an aircraft, the missile Kh-31PD air-launched high-speed anti-radar missile is designed for engaging radar stations of air defense missile systems (ADMS). Ground maintenance of the missiles is performed at Oka-E-1 aircraft weapons preparation system.

"The missile has a longer range compared to the previous model, the Kh-31P. The missile has a broadband warhead that allows it to neutralize any radar," said Mr. Obnossov.

He also indicated that a supersonic antiship missile was also ready to be produced in mass production.

"The anti-ship missile KH31-AD is ready," said the CEO of the consortium Tactical missiles.

GIDROAVIASALON is an exhibition with the main goal to demonstrate water- and ship-based aviation, the prospects of its development and applications for passenger and cargo transportation, tourism, patrol, search-and-rescue sea operations, rendering aid in case of emergencies and ecological disasters.
