Czech Army to procure Nexter TITUS armoured vehicles
The Czech Army has decided to procure the Nexter TITUS wheeled armored vehicle, as reported by Czech Media platform Zpravy.e15.cz. According to the source, Tatra will take part in the construction of the vehicles, which will be delivered in the 2019-2023 period.

According to the report, the Czech Army will receive 62 vehicles, mounted on a chassis produced by the local company Tatra.

Nexter's Ttitus is a wheeled armoured vehicle offered in 6x6 and 8x8 versions. It offers a high degree of protection, with the ability to withstand a 50kg IED blast, which can be increased with an add-on protection kit.

The vehicle has range of 700 km and is powered by a Cummins 500hp engine, which offers a maximum speed of 110 km/h. The platform can be equipped with a remotely-controlled weapon system. It is a multi-role platform able to serve as an armored personnel carrier, a command post, an NBC reconnaissance vehicle or used by civil protection authorities.
