Israel Aerospace Industries Will Display Its Advanced Technological Solutions at SITDEF 2013.

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) will display a wide spectrum of leading solutions at the International Defense Technology Exhibition & Prevention of natural disasters (SITDEF) which will be held in Lima, Peru, May 15-19 2013. IAI will display advanced Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) solutions including its G550 Conformal Airborne Early Warning Aircraft (CAEW), Multi-Mission Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), SAR Satellite, Compact Multi-mission ISR aircraft, real-time intelligence center, multi-mission radars, and more.

IAI's Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C)

IAI's G550 CAEW, developed by its group and subsidiary ELTA Systems, is a unique dual band radar solution using Active Electronically Scanned Array. The G550 CAEW provides early warning and aerial situation awareness by performing 360? Aerial Surveillance of airborne targets at all altitudes, over any terrain and in any weather conditions, and in addition performs Maritime Surveillance and Electronic Surveillance.

The Command & Control System of the G550 CAEW consists of six multi-function Operator Work Stations allowing the CAEW to operate as an independent Command & Control center or in conjunction with ground based Command and Control centers. The G550 CAEW communication system allows the aircraft efficient transfer of data and a common Air Situation Picture with aerial, naval or ground control centers.

IAI's AEW&C solutions are being used on a regular basis by customers worldwide for Homeland Security and for Air & Maritime Surveillance of low flying aircraft in mountainous terrain and for monitoring illegal aircraft and maritime vessels, preventing crime and danger to urban areas.

The latest CAEW customer is the Italian Air Force which purchased CAEW Aircraft, ground support systems and an integrated logistics support package under a government-to-government contract between Israel and Italy in 2012. The CAEW is operational with the Israel Air Force since 2008.
