The COBRA is a 4x4 armoured vehicle personnel carrier (APC) designed and manufactured by the Company Streit Group. The Cobra is a versatile APC based on the Toyota land Cruiser 200 series, a combination of ballistic steel monocoque body, mild steel inner floor and under-body blast protection. The Cobra can be used by modern armed forces in the new battlefield, but also by law enforcement agencies when agility is essential and protection is paramount. The standard vehicle is configured as an armoured personnel carrier with seats for 9 people maximum, including the driver and commander. The modular-designed Cobra can move swiftly and handle easily. Its 4x4 off-road performance is second to none, and its independent suspension and differential locking make it fully equipped to traverse the toughest of terrain. The Streit Group Cobra APC was developed to deliver key capabilities such as high mobility, combat effectiveness and better survivability under a single platform. The Cobra APC can be transported by military transport aircraft C-130 or equivalent.

| Armament | | The Streit Group Cobra APC can be fitted with open-top turret mounted on the centre of the roof of the vehicle. The open-top turret can be protected with armour plates and bullet-proof windows and can be armed with machine gun up to 12.7mm caliber or 40 mm automatic grenade launcher. The turret provides 360° view for the gunner's position, while offering all round protection from enemy fire. On request, the COBRA can be fitted with a light remotely controlled weapon station which provides unmatched observation and engagement capabilities under protection for the gunner. | | Design and protection | | The layout of the Streit Group Cobra APC is conventional, with the engine compartment at the front, the crew in the middle and the troop’s area at the rear. The monocoque body, with optimal ballistic resistance and underbody blast protection provides protection firing of small arms and shell splinters. The vehicle body is made of ballistic steel with a maximum thickness of 6.5mm. The 3.7mm mild steel inner floor and the 6mm mild steel under body provide a protection against mine blast. In option, the Cobra can be upgraded with additional ceramic and composite add-on armour plates. To the front of the commander and driver is a large bulletproof window and in each side is a door with a bulletproof window. The vehicle is customizable with 3 or 5 doors. The rear part of the vehicle can carry four soldiers. The troops enter and leave via a large door in the rear that opens to the right. Two escape hatches are available on the top of the troop’s compartment. The 5.7 m³ of interior volume provides comfort and security for deployment in complex, diffuse and lethal operational environments and in all modern conflict zones.
| | Propulsion | | The Streit Group Cobra 4x4 APC can be motorized with a Diesel 4.5 L V8 engine developing 216 hp or a Petrol 5.7l V8 engine developing 381 hp.
