In September 2014, the Russian military has begun building new military bases in the Arctic region, according a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry.

Russia has been talking about militarizing the Arctic for years as part of its greater strategy to explore and industrialize the pristine region, which is wealthy in oil and gas and offers a strategic trade route capable of rerouting the global trade flows.

The construction of the new Arctic bases, which will be the first new facilities established in the area since the Soviets abandoned their Arctic positions in the waning years of the Cold War, marks a milestone in Russia's militarization of the region.

The new military miracle SUV has been experienced in the Arctic. SUV was needed as freighter, and as environmental and medical laboratory.

The “Trekol” can accommodate inside a dozen fully-equipped fighters. Despite the powerful engine, the new SUV drives almost silently, which immediately attracted the attention of specialists of Russian special forces.

The TREKOL is road legal, it has a fiberglass body and can withstand temperatures ranging from -60 to +60 degrees Celsius.

The TREKOL 39294 uses 6 unique tubeless tires that allow it to run through sand, snow and marshes without sinking even with 8 people on board and fully loaded.
