The contract was signed between SSB and FNSS in Ankara on the 7th of March 2017 in order to meet the needs of the Turkish Navy’s marine corps.

The hull design and powerful water jets give ZAHA high mobility with a maximum speed of 70 km/h on land at 7 knots on water. It can climb a steep slope of 60 percent, hold on to a 40 percent slope, can easily cross 90-centimeter steep obstacles and 2-meter wide ditches.

ZAHA is fitted with a remotely-controlled weapon station housing a 12.7 mm machine gun and a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher.
