Eurocorps will conduct an military exercise Brilliant Ledger
2006 at the Training Area Bitche in France.
From
10th to 28th February 2006, EUROCORPS will conduct
an military exercise ( Brilliant Ledger 2006 )
at the Training Area Bitche in France. The deployment
phase has already started and re-deployment should
be completed by 5th March. This exercise nicknamed
Brilliant Ledger 2006 is another step in the preparation
for the NATO Response Force (NRF). This preparation
started last year after EUROCORPS returned from
Afghanistan and two exercises were already conducted

Czech
Republic
RCWS-30 Remote Controlled Weapon Station has been selected
to equip the Czech Pandur IIs.
The
Czech Republic's military modernization continues.
RAFAEL has now confirmed that its RCWS-30
Remote Controlled Weapon Station has been
selected to equip the Czech Pandur IIs, giving
APC crews full visual and fire control from inside
their vehicles. The pictured system above includes
a 30mm ATK Mk.44 cannon, a 7.62mm coaxial machine
gun, and two Spike-LR multi-purpose missiles,
as well as various thermal sensors, other optics,
and defensive systems. The RCWS-30 includes stabilization
and auto-tracking for fire-on-the-move capability,
plus slaving to any external director. There is
a patent pending on the mechanism it uses to fold
down for air transport. 07 February 2006

Six FOX NBC reconnaissance vehicles go to the Netherlands
– State-of-the-art NBC detection technology from Rheinmetall.

Landsysteme has just delivered six highly advanced
FOX NBC reconnaissance vehicles to the Dutch armed
forces. Ordered at the end of 2003, these new
FOX vehicles give the NBC reconnaissance units
of the Dutch armed forces a NBC detection capability
that places them at the global cutting edge. So
far, the company has made more than 260 NBC-RS
FOX vehicles, nearly half of which are in service
with the US armed forces; other NBC-RS FOX user
nations include Germany, Norway, the United Kingdom
and Saudi Arabia. In March 2005, the United Arab
Emirates placed an order for 32 systems as well,
which will be delivered over the next four years. 07 February 2006

The british company BAE Land Systems awards FV430-series upgrade
contract
The
long-awaited contract for the upgrade of the British
Army fleet ofFV430-series armoured fighting vehicles
(AFVs) was finalised in November 2005, with BAE
Systems Land Systems being awarded a GBP80 million
(USD141 million) contract by the UK Defence Logistics
Organisation (DLO) for the upgrade of 500 vehicles. 03 February 2006

Systems Land Systems Hägglunds has won a
DDK1.7 billion (USD274.25 million) contract from
the Danish Army Materiel Command for 45 CV9035
infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) for the Danish

Belgium
Elbit Systems,Israeli company selected to supply 30 mm unmanned
turrets and opto-electronic systems for the Belgian armoured
infantry vehicles programm.
Elbit Systems Ltd.
(NASDAQ:ESLT) reported today that it was selected
to supply various systems for the Belgian Armored
Infantry Vehicle Program. This Program is related
to a co-operation between Elbit Systems and the
Swiss company Mowag, a part of the General Dynamics
European Land Combat Systems Group. Mowag was
selected by the Belgian Government to be the prime
contractor for the supply of the Piranha III vehicles
for the Program. The Program currently covers
138 vehicles out of a potential total of 242 vehicles.
Elbit Systems' portion of the Program includes
the delivery of 30 mm unmanned turrets and various
opto-electronic and electronic sub-systems. 02 February 2006

Netherlands Army has totally ordered 74 BvS10 to the Swedish
Company BAE Systems Hägglunds.
The Netherland
army has totally ordered 74 BvS10 (also delivered
to the British Royal Marines under the name of
“Viking”). The delivery contains four
variants of the BvS10; 46 vehicles for troop carrying,
20 commander vehicles, 4 recovery vehicles and
4 ambulance vehicles. The deliveries will take
place during 2006 and 2007. The product name “Viking”
will also be adopted by the Dutch Army. The BvS10
is the latest generation of the BAE Systems Hägglunds
All Terrain Vehicle family, and is based on more
than 25 years experience of articulated all terrain
vehicle design and production. 01 February 2006
