The
Warrior is a new generation of armoured personnel carrier manufactured
by the Company Streit Group which is able to carry a total of 14 military
personnel including driver and commander. The Warrior has been developed around the trusted ford chassis, this allows the user to benefit from a lower life cycle cost and easy access to spare and replacement parts, and this firmly puts Warrior as the best value for money option available. The Warrior is motorized with a OEM Ford V8 6.7l Turbocharged Diesel engine developing 300 hp at 2,800 rpm. The engine is coupled to an electronically controlled OEM 6-speed automatic gearbox. The Warrior offers excellent protection against both ballistic and blast threats, the armored hull has been developed and manufactured utilizing the latest generation armoured materials, this allows us to offer a highly protected structure at a lower weight compared to other vehicles currently available on the market. The Warrior showed at DVD 2014 was fitted with an anti-tank missile launcher station equipped with two launchers for the Belarus-made Shershen-D anti-tank guided missile. In road position, the missile launcher station is stored inside the vehicle. In this case, nobody can know that the vehicle has the capacity to fire anti-tank missile. In firing position, two hatches are opened electrically on the vehicle roof and at the same time the missile launcher station goes up automatically from inside the vehicle to be placed in firing position. |

The
Shershen is a Belarussian-made third generation anti-tank guided missile
(ATGM) that is designed to defeat modern armored vehicles, protected objects
(such as bunkers, pillboxes, earth-and-timber emplacements) and low-speed
low-altitude targets (helicopters, UAVs). The Shershen-D is equipped with
two firing channels.
The missile operator can perform all the firing operations from inside the vehicle under the protection of the armor of the vehicle. To increase survivability of the crew, the missile can be fired thanks to a remote control panel allowing operator's to be positioned at a distance up to 100 meters from the launcher under cover with a wire channel or 300 m with radio control. The remote launcher station, complete with rotating platform, has horizontal and vertical remote-controlled electrical servo drives and automatic target tracking allowing the system to track moving targets such as attacking helicopters without operator's participation. The Shershen is equipped with a Fire-and-Forget guidance system which does not require further guidance after launch such as illumination of the target or wire guidance, and can hit its target without the launcher being in line-of-sight of the target. The Shershen launching station uses a laser range finder for target designator with a laser range control from 100 to 5,500 m. The missile can hit moving and stationary target at a maximum range of 5,500m during day and night operations. The Shershen uses a warhead with tandem-charge which able the missile to penetrate armor of a thickness 1,100mm maximum. |
