2000 howitzer in Afghanistan will be equipped with mobile multispectral
camouflage system
The ISAF-employed (International Security Assistance
Force in Afghanistan) self-propelled howitzers of
the type Pzh 2000 A2 will be equipped with a mobile
multispectral camouflage system (“MMT”)
as of April 2012. Apart from providing camouflage,
the MMT equipment also relieves the stress on the
AC system by reducing the solar heat load in the crew
compartment.

Plasan armor saves United States soldiers' lives in Iraq and Afghanistan
US Ambassador to Israel Daniel Shapiro visted Kibbutz
Sasa in northern Galilee, home to Plasan factory,
in late January to learn about the company's advanced
armor technologies, which have saved countless American
soldiers' lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. Israel's
Plasan factory manufactures armor which is used in
the majority of the US military's armored vehicles.

A combat team opens the bag and takes out the first
plane. Then a second, and then a third. Another soldier
procures the ground antenna and the computer display
from his bag, which will control the UAV and display
reconnaissance on the hostile village. Four soldiers
have just deployed a miniature intelligence aircraft

States Army drives ahead with Joint Light Tactical Vehicle program
Today, a Request for Proposal was issued by the United
States. Army for the Engineering and Manufacturing
Development phase of the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle
program. The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, or JLTV,
family will balance critical weight and transportability
constraints within performance, protection, and payload
requirements -- all while ensuring an affordable solution
