The Safir is a 4x4 light tactical vehicle designed and manufactured in Iran by the Company Fath Vehicle Industries. The vehicle was presented for the first time to the public in 2008. The Safir is the standard light tactical vehicle used by the Iranian armed Forces. The Safir was designed based on the American-made M-38 jeep. The Safir is also produced under license in Sudan with the name of Karaba VTG01

The Safir can be fiited with a full range of armament as a 107mm MLRS launcher system, a106 mm recoilless gun, anti-tank missile launcher or 40mm grenade launcher.

Design and protection |
The Safir is 4x4 light tactical vehicle which has a maximum weight of 1,500 kg. It used an open top architecture with optional soft cover. The body and chassis of the Safir are integral and are of all-welded construction.

The Safir 4x4 light tactical vehicle is motorized with a Nissan Z24 engine developing 105 hp. The vehicle can run at a maximum speed of 130 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 500 km. |
Accessories |
A spare wheel and a jerrycan are mounted to the left side of the vehicle. There are also tools at bottom sides.
