"JSC Concern VKO Almaz-Antey has handed over another regimental set of the S-400 Triumph air defense missile system to the Russian Defense Ministry ahead of schedule at a ceremony held at Kapustin Yar range in the Astrakhan region," Almaz-Antey went on to say.

"The acceptance tests have passed well," Almaz-Antey’s press service said adding that the S-400 system had been handed over to the customer in compliance with the latter’s requirements.

The S-400 Triumph air defense missile system demonstrated its ability to seize and track real air targets which were imitated by the aircraft and targets of the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is the second regimental set to have been handed over this year. The first was handed over in July - also ahead of schedule. The State Armaments Program envisages the equipment of troops with fifty-six S-400 battalions before 2020. That will make it possible to rearm 28 anti-aircraft missile regiments consisting of two battalions.
