EOS Electro Optic Systems

Driven by 40 years of innovation, precision, and performance, Electro Optic Systems (EOS), is a world leader in developing advanced products for the global defence and space domains. EOS' core capabilities include bespoke optical and laser assemblies, thermal imagers, day cameras, gimbal units, laser rangefinders, and precision mechanisms. EOS owns all IP and employs vertical design to ensure long-term obsolescence management. The company operates through two business divisions: EOS Defence Systems and EOS Space Systems.
The Group is a long-established member of the global defence and space industry with four decades of experience exporting innovative technology to our customers from Australia. IN recent years, EOS has expanded its operations and now has a growing global footprint with activities in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Singapore.
Business Area
Global defence and space domains products |
EOS Defence Systems specialises in technologies for weapon system optimisation and integration, as well as Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) for land warfare. It focuses on developing robotic and autonomous systems with a major emphasis on the long-distance remote control of precision lethality for future warfighting. Key products include next-generation remote weapon systems, vehicle turrets, C-UAS systems, and lethality solutions for remote and autonomous platforms. All RWS are fully stabilised, feature surveillance-grade day/thermal sensors, and share a common vehicle/user interface for seamless integration and adaptability across mission needs. EOS Space Systems designs and develops electro-optic equipment, systems, and facilities for space domain awareness (SDA), space surveillance, space control, and communications. This includes laser beam director telescopes, high-powered laser systems, enhanced imaging systems, fully autonomous control systems, and software for optical ground station networks and SDA services. Specialised day/night passive and active (laser) tracking technologies cover Low Earth Orbit through to Geostationary and Cis-Lunar Orbits. Through its KiwiStar Optics subsidiary, EOS designs, manufactures, and installs precision optics for ground and space applications, including large precision lenses and Smirrors, astronomical spectrographs, optical components and instruments, and custom optical systems. |

Products
R150

The R150 is a lightweight, ITAR-free remote weapon system designed for platforms where weight is constrained. It supports machine guns up to 14.5mm and maintains accuracy on the move while providing advanced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities. For added lethality, it can also integrate 70mm rockets.
R400
The R400 is a high-precision, dual-configuration remote weapon system capable of firing weapons ranging from 7.62mm coaxial machine guns to 30×113mm cannons. It also supports automatic grenade launchers, anti-tank guided missiles, and 70mm rockets, offering versatile firepower for a range of operational scenarios.
R800
The R800 delivers turret-level lethality, precision, and rapid engagement in a lightweight design. It supports assault, C-UAS, and reconnaissance operations across land, maritime, and UGV platforms. Armed with a 30×173mm cannon and coaxial machine gun, it features mounting points for anti-tank guided missiles, surface-to-air missiles, and additional novel effectors like the EOS C-UAS Laser Dazzler, providing exceptional versatility.
Slinger
Slinger is a lightweight and highly adaptable system for counter-UAS and land combat operations. It integrates a targeting radar, electro-optical sensors, and a stabilised four-axis gimbal for precise tracking and engagement. Supporting machine guns, cannons, rockets, and missiles, it adapts to mission requirements with ease. When equipped with a 30mm cannon, it achieves kills beyond 1km, while the 7.62mm machine gun is effective against manoeuvring Group 1 drones out to 600m, even from moving platforms. Additionally, it can engage ground targets up to 2000m with a 30mm cannon.
High Energy Laser Weapon
EOS’ High Energy Laser Weapon (HELW) delivers precise, cost-effective defence against aerial threats, engaging targets at ranges of up to four kilometres. Its operation time and ammunition supply are limited only by available power. Designed for layered defence, HELW integrates seamlessly with soft and hard kill effectors to protect friendly forces, assets, and infrastructure. Equipped with radar and infrared threat detection, fast-cueing algorithms, target acquisition, and beam locking, it ensures rapid and accurate engagements.
