According to Belta, an amphibious armored personnel carrier (APC) made by the Minsk Wheel Tractor plant (MZKT) will be showcased during the 10th international defense technology expo MILEX 2021 for the first time.

One may assume that this vehicle will replace the BMP-1/2 and BTR-70/80 of the Belarusian Army. The vehicle is based on the Russian BTR-82 but uses Belarusian parts and components. Expected characteristics are as follows : combat weight - 19.9t ; maximum road speed - 110km/h ; speed on water - 10km/h ; engine - diesel WP13.480А0 developing 480hp ; main armament - 30mm 2A43 cannon ; secondary armament - 7,62mm PKT and ATGM ; crew - 3 +8 passengers
Milex 2021 is scheduled to take place in Minsk on 23-26 June, BelTA learned from Chairman of the State Authority for Military Industry of Belarus Dmitry Pantus after the official delivered a report to Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko on 8 June.
