The Troop Carrier Light Trucks appear to be 4x4 Beijing Auto Works BJ2022 « Brave Warrior ». The variants used are long-wheelbase, single-cab with a troop-carrying compartment.typical of a light truck.

The Sinotruk Howo light-duty trucks are in fact Field Ambulance trucks. This vehicle has more stretcher capacity than the Philippine Army'scurrent Kia KM451 and AM General Humvee Maxi Ambulance. Notice that this truck must be an exception in an ambulance configuration, as its wheelbase and overall dimentions are typical of a light truck, not an ambulance.

If the Philippine Army continues to tender its truck acquisitions in the future, one may expect more Dongfeng and Beijing Auto Works trucks in the fleet as they are cheaper than Russian or Korean trucks, MaxDefense Philippines comments.
