TARA Perfection D.O.O., which leads the small arms division at TARA GROUP, is showcasing the TM-9 standard size service pistol and the TM-M4A1 assault rifle during DSA 2016. Steel reinforced high grade polymer lower receiver, lighweight new keymod Universal Handguard and a reliable direct-impingement gas system are only the first step towards the introduction of a complete and consistent weapon family, comprising all relevant sizes and calibers in the small arms world.

The TM-M4A1 ASSAULT RIFLE represents the latest design of an advanced assault rifle based on the battle proven M16 Rifle. By keeping the proven and widely used direct gas impingement system Tara has kept the tradition of the M16 Rifle system but at the same time introduced a revolutionary steel reinforced high strength polymer lower receiver with fully ambidextrous magazine release and fire selector levers.

The MIL-SPEC barrel with hard-coat chrome plating exceed the highest standards in regard to accuracy, function and lifetime under all operational conditions. This unique process increases the barrel life and reliability of the rifle.

The high number of compatible parts with existing M16A1, M16A2 and M4 Carbines allow Tara to offer existing users of the M16 Rifle Systems different types of refurbishments and upgrades to improve their current rifles to the unique TM-M4A1 Standard.

The TM-9 semi-automatic service pistol combines the latest developments and features of cutting edge firearm technology not only with regards to quality standards, precision and durability but also considering the strictest safety requirements. The extremely hard and anticorrosive slide can be disconnected from the Polymer Lower Receiver without the need to pull the trigger.

This can be considered an additional passive safety – just like the pistol’s ability to allow consecutive striker actions (real double action) without the need to rack the slide.
