The attack and surveillance UAV systems developed by STM using its own engineering and technological capabilities are being used to full effect by the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) in the provision of border security, as well as in international operations. A leading and competitive producer both in Turkey and around the world in the field of tactical mini UAV development, STM’s product range consists of Fixed-Wing Autonomous Tactical Attack UAV System ALPAGU, Rotary-Wing Attack UAV System KARGU and Autonomous Multi-Rotor Reconnaissance UAV System TOGAN.

At ExpoDefensa 2021, the Turkish company STM displays three drones including the Togan, an autonomous multi-rotor reconnaissance UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), the Kargu rotary-wing attack drone, and the Fixed-Wing Autonomous Tactical Attack UAV.

KARGU, which has been in TAF's (Turkish Air Force) inventory since 2018, achieved its first export this year (2021). As the exports of KARGU continue, negotiations are underway with various nations who are interested in the product. KARGU, which has proven its capabilities in various battlefields, performs its duties under complete human control under the principle of "Man-in-the-loop".

The Fixed-Wing Autonomous Tactical Attack UAV ALPAGU on the other hand stands out with its light structure, its dive speed, its low radar cross-section, its speed and its ability to cause point damage against key targets. ALPAGU can be carried by a single soldier and fired from a launcher, weighing only 1.9 kg.

The ALPAGU is designed for both reconnaissance and surveillance and for striking targets outside the line of sight with high accuracy and can be operated autonomously or with remote control. Having passed its firing tests, ALPAGU is set to enter the Turkish Armed Forces inventory in the coming weeks.

TOGAN® is an autonomous multi-rotor reconnaissance UAS solution engineered for general-purpose reconnaissance and surveillance missions with indigenous mission planning software, autonomous intelligence, and operational capabilities. It can be controlled autonomously or via remote control, and be deployed and operated by single personnel.

TOGAN can be used effectively in tactical reconnaissance and surveillance missions, with its abilities to track fixed and moving targets and to automatically switch missions supported by indigenous and real-time image processing and deep learning algorithms. The system is comprised of "Micro UAV Platform" and "Ground Control Station" components.
