The Ukrainian army now uses the latest technologies of weapons and combat vehicles developed by its local industry, Army Recognition has already reported the use of artillery systems and main battle tanks manufactured in Ukraine used by Ukrainian soldiers during combat operations against Russian armed forces.

The Bureviy 220mm MLRS is one of the latest combat systems developed by the Ukrainian defense industry. The front of the vehicle is fitted with a new armored cabin providing a high level of protection against ballistic and mine threats.
Citing information from the Ukrainian manufacturer, the Bureviy 220mm MLRS is fitted with a launcher pod that is similar to the Soviet-made BM-27 Uragan MLRS consisting of an upper layer of four tubes and two lower layers of six tubes so giving a total of 16 launch tubes. The launcher weapon station is mounted on a turntable at the rear of the truck chassis with powered elevation from 0 to +55º and a powered traverse of 30º left and right.
The Bureviy 220mm MLRS is fitted with a digital fire control system, including an information exchange system on the battlefield. The rocket launcher vehicle has a firing range from 35 to 65 km, which is superior to the range of the Russian BM-27 which has a maximum firing range of 40 km. it can fire all the standard soviet-made 220mm unguided rockets.
The Bureviy 220mm MLRS is based on the latest generation Tatra truck T 815–7T3RC1 8×8.1R. The 8×8 all-wheel drive chassis is built on an independent suspension and backbone tube frame, unique characteristics of the TATRA-concept chassis proven for more than 90 years. The truck is motorized with an air-cooled, V-type, 4-stroke, turbocharged, charge air-cooled, direct injection Diesel engine coupled to a manual 14-speed transmission with a semi-automatic split with 14 forward and 2 reverse gears. The truck can run at a maximum road speed of 105 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 700 km.
