Russia’s Kalashnikov Corporation developing new sniper rifles | |||
Russia’s Kalashnikov Corporation, the producer of the famous Kalashnikov automatic rifle and a subsidiary of Russia’s state hi-tech corporation Rostec, is developing new types of sniper rifles, Rostec said in an annual report.

"The SVDS Dragunov, SV-98, SV-99 and SV-338 sniper rifles meet the requirements of special units. Work is currently under way to develop new versions of sniper weapons. The corporation is also upgrading the AK-74 automatic rifle that is the most widely-used weapon with the Russian Armed Forces," Rostec said.
According to the report, the Kalashnikov Corporation is producing fourth-generation automatic rifles, in particular, the AK-101, AK-102, AK-103, AK-104 and AK-105. |
