The Dozor B is a 4x4 light armoured personnel carrier (APC) designed and developed in Ukraine by the Company Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau (KMDB). According engineers of KMDB, the Dozor-B is now ready to be manufacture with different engines and powertrain. The DOZOR family includes two-axis all-wheel drive vehicles based on a generic 4x4 chassis, with a choice of armored and unarmored cabs incorporating many of the components and subassemblies adopted from the BTR-80 armored personnel carrier (APC). The armoured variant DOZOR-B-1311, for example, is built as an APC with bulletproof armor. The roof accommodates a 12.7-mm KT-12.7 machinegun which is aimed and fired remotely from within the armored hull. Provisions are made for wicket loop-holes to enable handgun fire to be conducted from within the cab. The vehicle comes complete with a VHF radio operating out to 20 kilometers. The armored personnel carrier DOZOR-B is designed to provide transportation for personnel and military loads, and it ensures reliable protection against small arms fire and effects of the weapons of mass destruction. |
