Elbit Systems will upgrade more M113 APC to M113A2 standard for Philippines Army.
According to the Facebook account MaxDefense Philippines, the Israeli Company Elbit Systems will upgrade a new batch of M113 tracked APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier) of Philippine Army to the standard of M113A2.

12.7 mm remote controlled weapon station
     
The improved version of M113A2 Armored Personnel Carriers will be fitetd with a Remote Control Weapons System (RWS) designed by Elbit Systems.

The modernized 28 M113A2-B troop carriers will be upgraded with a remote controlled weapon stations (RCWS) armed with a 12.7mm heavy machine gun.

According to MaxDefense Philippine, the final contract could be signed before the end of this year.

In 2015, Philippines has received 114 M113 tracked APC from United States, and 28 were upgraded with 25 mm unmanned turrets, 12.7 mm remote controlled weapon stations (RCWS), fire control systems (FCS) for 90 mm turrets by Elbit Systems.
