Oshkosh Defense to display vehicles tailored to needs of Canadian Armed Forces at CANSEC 2012
 

Oshkosh Defense, a division of Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK), will exhibit its Tactical Armoured Patrol Vehicle (TAPV), the Oshkosh HEMTT A4 vehicle, which is the base vehicle for the Company’s MSVS SMP submission, and a cargo truck from its proven Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) at CANSEC in Ottawa, May 30-31.

Pakistan Thursday, May 31, 2012, test fired a medium range cruise missile capable of delivering nuclear and conventional warheads within a range of 350 kilometers. The Hatf-VIII (Ra' ad) cruise missile with stealth capabilities is an indigenously developed, low altitude, terrain-hugging missile with highly developed manoeuvrability and accuracy.

Elbit Systems’ SPEAR is a fully autonomous, vehicle-mounted 120mm soft recoil mortar system for high-mobility platforms.

United States Air Force awards ITT Exelis contract to protect data in laptop, UAV applications
 

ITT Exelis (NYSE: XLS) has been awarded an Air Force Cryptologic Systems Division contract to deliver prototype self-encrypting drives. These secure solid state self-encrypting drives will be designed to protect data at rest in mobile applications, such as laptops and unmanned aerial vehicles, which will allow those systems to store information without fear of being compromised.
