Statistics from the last few years show that people running amok and engaging in terror and violence against the executive are increasingly using firearms such as handguns, the Kalashnikov and AR15/M16 derivatives. Ulbrichts Protection wants to provide special task forces, police officers and the first responders who are the first to arrive at the scene the best possible protection against threats from handguns and rifles.

Hence, at Milipol 2021, Unitive showcases new ballistic helmets manufactured by Ulbrichts Protection, capable of stopping Kalashnikov iron-core ammunition and reducing the back face deformation/trauma to below the fatal level of 25 joules. The new VPAM 6 rifle helmet protects 'stand alone' on the surface without additional protective shields (Fortis) against some widely spread threats (7.62x39 MSC). The helmet will be available worldwide from 2022. This groundbreaking development offers a new level of protection and is based on the tireless search for a technical solution capable of halting both the extremely difficult-to-stop iron core ammunition 7.62x39 MSC and the NATO caliber 7.62x51 NATO (M80) (NIJ III) at full speed.

For a little over two years, Unitive has achieved great commercial results in the sector of ballistic protection with the sale of high-performance Titanium helmets produced by the Austrian brand, for which Unitive is the exclusive reseller in France.

Unitive presents several new products at MILIPOL 2021, including 3 new models in the Hoplit range, specifically designed for first responders. They have a VPAM 3 compliant level of protection, (extendable to level 6 with the Fortis type reinforcement plate, with efficient protection against 5.56 mm or 7.62 mm calibers, they ensure a reduction of residual energy to less than 25 joules), a STANAG 2920 certification. All 3 can be customized according to the requirements of the user units (visor, neck protection, etc.).

In addition to this unique ballistic protection, Ulbrichts has developed three systems/concepts common to the Hoplit series: “One product (one helmet size), adjustable to each operator thanks to the Quick Size system, smart balancing system (Best Balance).

New range of Maskpol products

In 2019, Unitive signed a contract of exclusive representation for France with the Polish company Maskpol. Since its integration into the PGZ group, Maskpol has been recognized as an international manufacturer of equipment for intervention forces. This representation agreement focuses more particularly on the range of bulletproof vests, and some equipment essential to the operations of special units or police.

Thanks to this partnership, Maskpol is also represented at MILIPOL 2021 on the Unitive stand, along with many new products and equipment in 2 worlds (Police, Defense): bulletproof vests (including the new KKZ-01), Uniforms and operational, clothing (including the new range of MAPA technical clothing), tactical accessories (equipped with the new ROC system with quick-release buckles), protective plates, backpacks, etc.

New 40mm “door breaching” ammunition by Energetics Technology

The British company Energetics Technology Limited (ETL), a subsidiary of the Etienne Lacroix Group, has formalized the launch of its latest innovative 40 mm "door breaching" ammunition at the SOFINS in June. The British company received an honorary award from the Defense Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) at the last DSEI 2021 trade show in London.

Energetics specializes in the fields of pyrotechnics, energetic materials, blasting agents and explosives, ETL has licensed a 40mm armor-piercing grenade technology developed by DSTL and Ploughshare Innovation. This new break-in/intrusion grenade technology developed by the UK government has been licensed to Energetics Technology Limited (ETL) and Ploughshare Innovations, in an agreement that will improve explosive entry method (EMOE) operations and operator safety.

The fragmentation grenade is designed for use by special forces and counter-terrorism units in scenarios where it is necessary to break through locked doors to gain access to a building or room. Its main advantages are very little explosive, very small arming safety distance (less than ten meters), precision and stability of the ammunition, etc.

The Energetics products are exclusively marketed for France by Unitive, also a supplier of the French Ministry of Defense for the procurement of ammunition for the Special Forces, including small-caliber ammunition with optimized terminal effect. All the products presented are of great interest for forces (police, army) and for the success of the missions carried out by other special or intervention units.
