Description

Introduced at the IDEF exhibition in 2013 by the Turkish company Otokar, the Ural is a 4x4 light armored tactical vehicle known for its focus on ballistic protection. The vehicle's hull is designed to provide protection from small arms fire, and its floor is constructed to resist shrapnel fragments from grenades and anti-personnel mines. Additionally, the Ural incorporates polycarbonate layered armored glazing to enhance ballistic protection for its windows.

Built on a specialized chassis, the Ural emphasizes off-road capabilities with features such as permanent four-wheel drive, a lockable central differential, and a high-capacity axle. The suspension system is engineered to provide comfort and stability across various terrains. The Ural's modular platform allows for different configurations, including armored ambulance, armored personnel carrier, internal security vehicle, fuel refueling vehicle, or Special Operations Vehicle. Interior features include ample space, ergonomic full-size seats, heating, air conditioning, and a one-piece windscreen for improved driver visibility.
