Armament |
VAB Mark 2 can be equipped with various weapons systems, including gun turrets with a conventional 7.62mm or 12.7mm, or remote-operated turret with up to a calibre of 30mm weapon, depending on the needs of customers. According to the manufacturer, the VAB Mark 2 could also accept more powerful turrets with 90 mm gun, after some slight modifications.

Protection |
One of the biggest improvements on the VAB Mark 2 wheeled vehicle is its protection level. The VAB Mark 2 has a new welded steel armoured hull, on which was added a V-shaped deflector, thereby achieving a Level 4 protection against ballistic fire and explosive charges. All the windows of the front and sides of the vehicle have the same level of protection as the rest of the vehicle.
|
Propulsion |
The VAB Mark 2 comes in two chassis versions, 4 x 4 and 6 x 6. The 4 x 4 Version is a lighter vehicle, suitable for road use and monitoring and security missions. With regard to its engine, the VAB Mark 2 has a new, more powerful, six-cylinder diesel engine delivering 320 hp. It is a DXi7 type made by Renault. The VAB Mark uses a 6x6 or 4x4 chassis.
|
Accessories |
The comfort of the crew and infantry on board had been largely improved by increasing the interior volume from 9 to 11m³ This was achieved by increasing the height of the roof. The VAB Mark 2 features the latest technologies in seats and interior accessories.
