Radar |
The Korkut Command and Control vehicle is fitted with a small unmanned turret mounted on the center of the hull which includes a 3-D search radar for acquisition and tracking of air targets. The 3D radar can detect a target at a maximum distance of 70 km. The antenna unit incorporates a primary radar antenna with IFF (Friend or Foe) identification system. It enables the vehicle to identify aircraft, vehicles or forces as friendly and to determine their bearing and range from the interrogator. Command and control functions and interfaces can be implemented for other air defense systems. One 7.62mm machine gun is mounted to the commander hatch for the self-protection of the vehicle.

Design and protection |
The Korkut Command and Control vehicle is based on the FNSS armoured vehicle ACV-30 tracked chassis. The vehicle has a crew of three with the driver seated at the front left of the hull with a power pack to the right. The crew members enter and leave the vehicle through a large hydraulically operated ramp at the rear of the hull, which has an integral door on the left side. The ACV-30 platform chassis is provided with a unique, space laminated armour system combining steel and aluminum technology for protection against firing of small arms 14.5×114mm AP Armour-Piercing (STANAG 4569 Level 4) and mine blast 6kg of TNT explosion under tracks (STANAG 4569 Level 2).
|
Mobility |
The Korkut Command and Control vehicle uses the same powerpack and suspension components as the ACV-30 light armoured vehicle manufactured by FNSS. It is motorized with a Diesel engine coupled to a fully automatic transmission. The torsion bar suspension on each side consists of six road wheels with the drive sprocket at the front and idler at the rear. The upper part of the suspension is covered by a skirt. The vehicle can run at a maximum road speed of 65 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 500 km. It can cross a trench of 2m width and a vertical obstacle of 0.8m. The vehicle is also able to negotiate a gradient of 60% and side slopes of 30%.

Accessories |
The Korkut Command and Control vehicle is fitted with computerized control station including advanced threat evaluation and weapon assignment algorithms. Standard equipment also includes CBRN protection system, air conditioning, heating system, and automatic fire suppression for the engine and crew compartment. The vehicle is fully amphibious and propelled in the water at a maximum speed of 6 km/h thanks to two water jets mounted at the rear of the chassis.
