| Description |
|
Displayed the first time during the IDET 2009 exhibition in Czech republic, the S 805 is designed for replace the old Vz-58 (local version of the famous AK-47 rifle) still in service in the Czech armed forces. For reach the NATO standards, the S 805 include several features of modernity, like to the 5,56x45 NATO cartridge.

- Caliber 5,56x45 NATO : This version use the NATO standard cartridge.
- Caliber 7,62x39 "russian": This version use the russian caliber, also used by the Czech Vz-58.

| Design |
|
The CZ S 805 utilizes a standard breech system with a rotating bolt powered by hot gases from the barrel by means of a piston. Three barrel lengths are available in each caliber, enabling to build a classic rifle, a carbine or a short compact gun. The side-folding polymer stock is adjustable for length and folds to the right-hand side of the rifle in the closed position. The cocking-handle is ambidextrous and can be adjusted for right and left-handed firers. Ejection of fired cartridge case is to the right and a cartridge case-deflector is fitted to allow left-handed use.

The S 805 is available with two munition : the NATO 5,56x45 mm and the "russian" 7,62x39 mm. This russian cartridge is still in dotation in the Czech army and have a great stopping power. The CZ S 805 wasp rimarily intended for production in 5.56 × 45 mm NATO and 7.62 × 39 mm calibres, it is readily convertible to the 6.8 × 43 mm Remington SPC cartridge if required.

The 5.56 mm calibre magazines are translucent and allow the firer to quickly determine the number of rounds remaining. The S 805 can used a 20/30/100 rounds magazines, realised in translucid plastic.

The S 805 have a iron sights, but It can receipt a various optical sights thanks to the rails mounted on the weapon.
