787 Dreamliner and Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey to make Middle East debut at

DUBAI,
United Arab Emirates, Nov. 8, 2011 – The Boeing Company’s
[NYSE: BA] presence at the 2011 Dubai Airshow will include the Middle
East debut of the 787 Dreamliner, the world’s most advanced passenger
jet, and the innovative Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey tiltrotor. The two aircraft
will be part of a formidable lineup of defense and commercial products
and services designed to meet the needs of Middle East customers. The
show runs Nov. 13-17 at Dubai’s Airport Expo. |

reflected in the significant growth experienced in both the commercial

On
the commercial side, Boeing’s game-changing 787 Dreamliner will
be showcased for the first time in the Middle East and will remain on
static display during the show. Boeing has a backlog of 131 Dreamliners
on order from customers in the region. Boeing customer Qatar Airways will
have a Boeing 777-200LR (Longer Range) on static display and flydubai
will showcase its Next-Generation 737-800 with the new Boeing Sky Interior,
while a privately owned Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) also will be present.
Boeing will hold a series of media briefings and activities during the show, as listed below. The company also is co-sponsoring the Middle East Air Chiefs Conference and the Engineering Student of the Year Award – part of the Flightglobal Achievement Awards – both of which take place on Saturday, Nov. 12. |
