Kamov Ka-32A11VS multi-role coaxial rotary-wing helicopter has been certified
in Brazil, the Russian Helicopters Holding said. "This certification
allows Ka-32A11VS to work in the civil segment of the Brazilian market
as a firefighting, search-and-rescue, construction and transport helicopter,""
says a holding report received by Interfax-AVN on Monday, December 5,

| The holding,
which is a part of Oboronprom, signed a Ka-32A11VS contract with the Helipark
Taxi Aereo Brazilian helicopter operator in December 2010. The deliveries
are due to start in 2012. The contract is a pilot project of Helipark Taxi Aereo seeking to broaden its fleet and the first order for Ka-32A11VS from Brazil. In the future, the company may place more orders for Ka-32A11VS. "If new contracts are signed, Russian Helicopters and Helipark Taxi Aereo may consider the opening of a joint service center for Ka-32A11VS,"" the holding said. Helipark Taxi Aereo acquired two Mil Mi-171A Russian transport helicopters in November 2010. This chopper is also certified in Brazil. As of now, Ka-32A11VS is certified in Brazil, India, Europe, China, Indonesia, South Korea, Canada and Mexico. Ka-32A11VS is a multi-role modification of Ka-32A. It is capable of carrying cargo on external suspension and work as a crane in high-rise building construction works. |
