Dassault Aviation Flight demonstration of the nEUROn UCAV for French and foreign authorities.
 
On Wednesday December 19, 2012, Dassault Aviation organized a flight demonstration of the nEUROn at Istres, for the French and foreign authorities involved in the program. The Head of the French defense procurement agency DGA, Laurent Collet-Billon, and several of his counterparts, CEOs of the main partner companies, several diplomats, generals and journalists were present.
     
On Wednesday December 19, Dassault Aviation organized a flight demonstration of the nEUROn at Istres, for the French and foreign authorities involved in the program. Following the flying and ground demonstration, Mr. Edelstenne made a speech in which he underlined the degree of innovation of the nEUROn:
- the first combat UAV built in cooperation,
- the first stealth combat aircraft, and
- the first combat aircraft fully designed and developed on a cooperative virtual plateau.

Mr. Collet-Billon then stressed: "Beyond their technical competence and proven know-how, the contractors have met the challenge inherent in the schedule to conceive a demonstrator of such complexity. Dassault Aviation, Saab, Alenia, EADS Casa, HAI and RUAG have managed this technological challenge with a high degree of professionalism."
