Finmeccanica won new order to supply five W-3WA Sokoi helicopters and upgrade for Polish army.
 
Finmeccanica won new orders valued up to EUR 200 million through its companies AgustaWestland, Oto Melara, DRS Technologies and SELEX Sistemi Integrati. AgustaWestland, through its company PZL Swidnik, has signed contracts with the Polish Ministry of National Defence worth around EUR 90 million euro to supply five W-3WA Sokol helicopters for VIP transport and to upgrade other 14 helicopters of the Polish Armed Forces.
     
Finmeccanica won new orders valued up to EUR 200 million through its companies AgustaWestland, Oto Melara, DRS Technologies and SELEX Sistemi Integrati. Oto Melara has been awarded contracts with a total value of around EUR 50 million. The first contract relates to the supply of spare parts and a spare parts warehouse for 30mm HITFIST towers to the Polish army; the second contract, signed by the Iveco Oto Melara consortium and the General Directorate of Land Armaments, is for the development of a prototype of the new Centauro armoured vehicle and its certification by 2014; the final order, received from the Italian defence ministry, relates to the supply of 40 12.7mm HITROLE towers for Iveco VTMM vehicles.

DRS Technologies has been awarded contracts for a total value up to USD 63 million. Specifically, the company received a one-year incrementally funded option to their current Fixed Firm Price (FFP) contract by the U.S. Air Force. The contract is for the Improved Altitude Hold and Hover Stabilization (IAHHS) upgrade to the HH-60G PAVE HAWK helicopter. DRS also received a contract for the supply of Gigabit Ethernet Multiplex System (GEDMS) equipment to the U.S. Navy as well as an IDIQ contract option to provide Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for the U.S. Navy’s E-6B Take Charge and Move Out (TACAMO) and Airborne Command Post (ABNCP) aircraft fleet.

SELEX Sistemi Integrati has been awarded orders for a total value of EUR 10 million. The first contract, signed with the Indian Coching Shipyard Ltdf, relates to the supply of radars for the new aircraft carrier of the Indian Navy. The other contract, signed with the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Service Enterprise (UkSATSE), is to provide maintenance services to radars previously bought from the same company by UkSATSE.
