Russian Helicopters to showcase new models at Farnborough 2012 International
Airshow.

Russian
Helicopters, a leading global designer and manufacturer of some of the
most renowned, innovative and widely used helicopters, is proud to present
the latest additions to its range at this year's Farnborough International
Airshow, including the international debut of the Ka-62 as it continues
to expand its offering of civilian helicopters.

Alongside the Ka-62, Russian Helicopters will showcase
the Mi-171A2 and the Ansat and provide an update on the expansion of
its after-sales support network at a presentation on July 10, at 11:00-13:45
at Hall A1 Radlett Suite. Russian-made helicopters – including
a full-size model of the Ka-62 – will be on display at the Oboronprom
stand E10 and E14 in Hall 1 throughout the show, which runs from 9-15
July 2012.
The Ka-62 is a multi-role medium-weight helicopter designed for cargo
transportation, medevac and search-and-rescue operations. This commercial
helicopter can also be used in the oil and gas sector and for corporate
purposes.

are bringing to the show combine all the qualities that customers down
the years have come to expect from Russian Helicopters.”
Built using new technologies and materials, the Ka-62 is a single-rotor
design, with an enclosed tail rotor and an airframe and propeller blades
consisting of over 50% polymeric composite materials. Other features
include a five-blade rotor, secondary hydraulics circuit, energy-efficient
wheeled landing gear, strengthened fuselage and fuselage attachment
points and shock-absorbing seats for the crew and passengers.
The Mi-171A2 is the latest modification of the Mi-8/17 series –
one of the world’s most popular helicopters. The versatile light
Ansat features the largest cabin in its class, and is designed for maximum
flexibility of use in transporting cargo and passengers, search-and-rescue
and emergency rescue operations. The new multi-purpose Mi-38 and the
search-and-rescue modification of the Ka-32A11BC will also be demonstrated
