The contract runs through June 29, 2019. Poland selected Lockheed Martin's JASSM on September 2015 for its F-16 fleet. Poland becam the third international customer for JASSM, after Finland and Australia air forces chose it in 2011 and 2006.

Lockheed’s JASSM is a long-range missile designed with a significant standoff range, blast fragmentation warhead and precision routing and guidance functions.

The JASSM and its Extended Range variant share the same powerful capabilities and stealth characteristics, though JASSM-ER has more than two-and-a-half times the range of JASSM for greater standoff range. These 2,000-pound cruise missiles employ an infrared seeker and enhanced digital anti-jam GPS receiver to dial into specific points on targets.
