Rolls-Royce receives $150mn in orders from USAF for C-130J engines support

Rolls-Royce has been awarded two contracts from the US Air Force to support the later's fleet of C-130J Super Hercules engines, the US Department of Defense announced yesterday, Jan. 28, 2016. The estimated total amount for this two contracts is $154mn.

Rolls-Royce first won a $77,920,767 firm-fixed-price delivery order for C-130J spare engines. The company will provide 24 AE2100D3 commercial engines for C-130J aircraft. Work will be performed at Indianapolis, Indiana, and is expected to be complete by Dec. 31, 2016. This contract involves foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia.
