South Korea's Air Force (ROKAF) said Thursday it will establish a cyber security center this week to take charge of combating hacking attacks and preventing leaks of military secrets. Cyber Protection Center's main duties will include blocking out hacking attacks and safeguarding classified military information as well as research and development to upgrade the Air Force's cyber networks.
"The unit was launched in order to beef up the Air Force's capacity to deal preemptively with increasing cyber threats by hostile forces including hacking attempts on defense companies and the military," the Air Force said in a statement. |
