The parties will join effort in the design and batch production of new unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). A corresponding agreement was inked by Vyacheslav Mikheev, CEO of Vega Concern of Roselectronika, and Aeroxo CEO Eldar Razroev.
“The UAV market is rapidly growing. Convertiplanes are the most prospective drones. The combination of a copter and airplane makes them universal and capable of a broad range of missions. They can account for a major market share. We forecast annual one-billion ruble growth of income by 2025 in the segment. Joining our competences in the design and production will promote the achievement of the targets,” Mikheev said.
Vega will initially produce Era family of unmanned convertiplanes of Aeroxo design. They can fly for three hours and carry a 7-kg payload. A convertiplane with a payload of 80 kg is being designed for logistical tasks.
“Cooperation between Vega and Aeroxo will help occupy a major niche of the UAV market and access new markets. The experience of Vega will help adapt the available solutions for new engagement and launch batch production of new convertiplanes in a brief time,” Razroev said.
