Arktika-M satellite completes flight trials.
The flight trials of the Arktika-M hydrometeorological satellite have been completed, a recommendation for commissioning is obtained, according to the Roscosmos space agency.

“A meeting of the state committee on the results of the flight trials of the Arktika-M high Earth orbit hydrometeorological space system has been held. The committee has decided to complete them,” said Roscosmos in a statement.
According to the space agency, the committee has also recommended to commission the Arktika-M system and its satellite.
The first Arktika-M system was orbited on February 28 from the Baikonur space port.
The Arktika-M high Earth orbit hydrometeorological space system integrates no less than two satellites. They will provide round-the-clock all-weather monitoring over Earth surface and the Arcitc Ocean, and stable and reliable communications. Previously, deputy head of department for development of multi-area scanning systems of JSC Russian Space Systems Yury Gektin told the TASS news agency that the Arktika-M system may integrate four satellites.
