MIG Corporation completed MiG-29 components delivery to Bulgaria.
Russian Aircraft Corporation “MiG” (as part of PJSC”UAC” of “ROSTEC” State Corporation) completed the implementation of contracts for the supply of component parts required to maintain the serviceability of MiG-29 aircraft fleet of Bulgarian Air Force ahead of schedule

“During the negotiations, which took place in August, the Leadership of Bulgarian Air Force and “MiG” Corporation agreed upon the delivery of component parts for MiG-29 aircraft ahead of schedule. [...] We dispatched a final batch of air-technical equipment under valid contracts. Early fulfilment by the Corporation of its obligations allows to increase combat readiness of Air Force of Bulgaria significantly”, – Andrey Gerasimchuk, Managing Director of “MiG” Corporation said.
The Sides also discussed perspective directions for the development of cooperation.
With a view to information appeared in the media concerning so-called planned termination of MiG-29 aircraft maintenance contracts concluded with the Ministry of Defence of Bulgaria, be informed, that information given in the article of the Bulgarian “Monitor” news portal, which is being referred to by a number of Russian media, is related to works on the repair of R-27 guided missiles. “MiG” Corporation neither develops nor manufactures missiles. We design and manufacture aircraft of “MiG” brand. The Corporation neither concluded any contracts for maintenance and repairs of R-27 air missiles nor participated in this type of works.
