Bayraktar TB2 UCAV delivered to Turkish Armed Forces.
According to a tweet by Ismail Demir, Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) Chairperson, the Turkish defense industry has made new deliveries of Bayraktar TB2 unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAV) to the Turkish Land Forces Command.

Ismail Demir added that these new UCAVs are equipped with the Aselsan-developed Common Aperture Targeting System (CATS), a high performance electro-optical reconnaissance, surveillance and targeting system designed for fixed-wing and rotary-wing airborne platforms, including Unmanned Air Systems, helicopters and aircraft.

The Bayraktar is a medium altitude long endurance (MALE) unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) developed, designed and manufactured by the Turkish Company Baykar The Bayraktar TB2 has a lenght of 6.5 m, a height of 2.2 m and a wingspan of 12 m. It has a maximum take-off weight of 650 kg with a maximum payload capacity of 150 kg. It can fly at a maximum speed of 120 knots (222 km/h) at a maximum altitude of 27,000 feet (8,230 m) and has a flight endurance of up to 27 hours.
The Bayraktar TB2 can be armed with four laser-guided smart ammunition. The Armed UAV Bayraktar TB2 is a multi-purpose platform as it can perform Target Acquisition using the onboard laser designator. It is also capable of eliminating the target using its payload consisting of four smart munitions. Bayraktar TB2 is a system that offers all cutting-edge solutions required to carry out surgical precision strikes preventing widespread damage to close areas.
