Ruselectronics displays an electric motor for drones at Army-2022.
Ruselectronics holding of the Rostec State Corporation presented a synchronous electric motor for a wide range of applications at the Army-2022 International Military-Technical Forum. Due to its low weight, efficiency and reliability, the development can be used to create helicopter-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

Among the advantages of a synchronous motor over an asynchronous one are a greater power and efficiency factor, a wider range of speed adjustment, high operational reliability, and better weight and size indicators. Its high overload capacity allows it to maintain a constant speed regardless of the mechanical load on the shaft.

“Our UAVs have proven themselves well in real combat conditions. This technique is also in demand in the civilian market. Now the industry faces a big and important task of import substitution of many components, including power plants. I am sure that the new domestic compact electric motor will help UAV developers in solving this problem,” the Rostec speaker said.
Synchronous motors are also used in industrial ventilation and air conditioning systems, pneumatic systems and motor vehicles.
“Today, KEMZ produces a whole line of synchronous motors, which are in demand both in the production of special equipment and in the civil products market. The engines presented at the forum in various modifications are already being supplied to enterprises in the oil and gas sector, where they are used to control pipeline dampers, and to organizations in the housing and communal services sector - for elevator doors. Also, these devices are used in industrial ventilation and air conditioning systems, in pneumatic systems and vehicles,” said Boris Movtyan, General Director of KEMZ.
As part of Ruselectronics, KEMZ is engaged in the creation of information and telecommunication systems and special-purpose communication complexes, the production of communication facilities with cryptographic information protection, as well as automated control systems.
