PATRIOT PARK /Moscow Region/, August 23. /TASS-DEFENSE/. The Radar MMS Company displayed a new heavy unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) able to carry up to 100 kg at the Army 2022 international military-technical forum.

The system has already been certified in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya), Radar MMS Company Executive Director Ivan Antsev told TASS. “This device has a side number, it has been certified in accordance with all the requirements of the Federal Air Transport Agency under the experimental legal regime. And this is a real working model,” he said.

According to the executive director, the drone has a weight of 440 kg, an endurance of 4 hours, a cruising speed of 150 km/h, a flight range of 400 km one way and 200-250 km there and back. It is able to fly to the assigned point in automatic mode, the flight task can be adjusted during the flight.

“Currently, our drone is designed for air delivery, geological exploration and monitoring tasks. This drone takes off, lands and flies along the route in a fully automatic mode, fulfilling the assigned mission,” Antsev explained. According to him, the drone is capable of processing all the data on board and transmitting it to the control point. It can be used by Russian departments, including the Emergencies Ministry.

The Army 2022 international military-technical forum took place on August 15-21 at the Patriot exhibition center. The Russian Defense Ministry was the organizer of the event.

Vessel control and information exchange are carried out using the Remote Pilot Station (RTS), which is also part of the UAS and is available in various versions depending on the selected configuration. The duration of the system deployment is 30-60 minutes, depending on the season and the quality of the runway. The UAS as standard includes a UAV VT 440 with a cargo module and a remote pilot's station based on a 20-foot High Cube (20'HC) container (Picture source: MMS)
