Iran unveils latest Mohajer 10 combat drone.

The latest version of Iran’s Mohajer drone - the Mohajer 10 - was unveiled in a ceremony held on August 21 that marked the Defense Industry Day. An exhibition was held, showcasing Iran’s latest achievements in the defense industry. with President Ebrahim Raisi as well as the Defense Minister and senior military commanders in attendance. No surprise at all that this new drone closely resembles the American GA-ASI MQ-9A Reaper.

Compared to the Mohajer-6, the new Mohajer 10 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) benefits from an extended flight range (2,000 kilometers), an extended flight time (24 hours) at an altitude of 7,000 meters thanks to its 450-liter fuel tank, and an increased payload (300 kg). and has a flight endurance of 24 hours. The maximum speed is 210 km/h.

For an attack mission, the drone can be armed with various smart bombs and/or missiles including Qaem, Almas and Dastvareh. The UAV also includes electronic warfare equipment and intelligence systems.

To facilitate the comparison with the predecessor, the Mohajer-6, here are some of its specifications. The Mohajer-6 has a rectangular fuselage, an upwards-sloping nose, twin tail booms, a top-mounted horizontal stabilizer, uncanted wingtips, straight wings mounted high and to the rear of the body, and air intakes on the top and bottom of the engine. It is controlled by two elevators on the horizontal stabilizer, rudders on the vertical stabilizers, and two flaps per wing.

The payload of the Mohajer 6 includes a camera for navigation and a gimbal on the chin for a laser range finder and multispectral IR and visible light electro-optical imagery. It can be fitted with hardpoints which can each carry one or two Qaem TV/IR-guided missiles or one Almas missile depending on the version.

In terms of technical features, the Mohajer-6 has a length of 7.5m, and a wingspan of 10 m. It can fly at a maximum speed of 200 km and can be controlled from a ground station with a range from 200 to 500 km. it can fly at a maximum altitude of 7,600 m and has an endurance of 12 hours.
